I just wanted to post in and introduce myself. I'm new to the forum, but not cake decorating. I've been a hobby decorator for 15 years and still enjoy learning new techniques.I've always done buttercream cakes because of the whole 'bad tasting fondant' stigma, I've used fondant and gum paste for decorations of course, just not for icing. So I hope to gain some insight into fondant as well as learning some new things and perhaps share some tips and tricks as well.Thanks, Phil

Thank you for the welcome. As far as tricks go, I doubt I could give anything very original at this point. As for tips, the only thing that comes to mind is in the form of my favorite quote as such,'when the going gets tough take my advise, just pull down your pants and slide on the ice'.
