I am making a truck out of rice crispy treats and I need some tips on what to use to make the truck smooth to cover it in fondant. The last few times i have done this you can see all the little bumps of rice crispies underneath the fondant. Any tips/ideas would be appreciated icon_biggrin.gif

You can use royal icing or buttercream or just add a really thick layer of fondant over the naked RKT

I crush my RKT before I make the batch. I also don't use butter. After I make whatever I'm making, I paint on melted white or dark chocolate and let dry then apply fondant a little thicker than when covering a cake. I hate seeing 3d objects that have cellulite.

Thank you all for the tips! One practice run for each and I shall be good to goicon_smile.gif I hate seeing the bumps as well, and glad I never just said "o well" and put it on the cake anyway.
