Hi everyone,
Im trying to figure out the best way to stick the fondant on the bottom of a dummy cake? I am making a 6 tier cake with a stage in the center. So i have two 10 inch tiers with pillars in between. I want the "ceiling" of the stage to be black, so you dont see the styrofoam dummy cake. Im worried if I just put frosting/crisco it will fall down. Any suggestion would be appreciated! Thank you!!!!

Maybe use royal icing? You'd have to get the fondant onto the icing pretty quick before it sets up. The other option, I guess could be to paint a cardboard cake circle black and glue it onto the bottom of the dummy?

I always advise to not do anything on a dummy cake that you can't do on real cake.

This would be a good time to use the wilton 2 plate system.
