I need some ideas for a car cake for my daughters birthday.
I want to keep it relatively simple because I just started working full time and I dont think I will have that much time. Yet I want it to be fun and pretty

I have never made a car cake before...so how should I go about it?
Should I use a cake pan? Or try carving it?

If I dont use a cake pan, perhaps I could just make a track on a cake and put two cars made out of fondant on it?

any other ideas ???

Carving it will take an obscene amount of time and frustration if you've never done it before. Use a pan, or your track idea is good, if you want to keep it simple!
