I need to make a 3d figure of a national guard minuteman. Trying to decide which would be better to work with- gumpaste or pastillage. I have only used gumpaste before so I don't know how they compare. Any imput would be great or suggestions of something different to use. I would guess the figure would need to be around 8-10 inches tall. Thanks!

Have you worked with modeling chocolate? I find it works great for figures. I also use fondant for my figures. HTH icon_smile.gif

yes, I have worked with modeling chocolate and thought about that also. But, I was a little worried about it melting on me but I will definitely consider it, thanks.

From what I've read, pastillage dries very quickly. I wouldn't use it for anything that I needed to model as I wouldn't have enough time to get it done before it hardened.
