I need to make 3 dozen baseball cupcakes tomorrow and I have a few questions. How do I make the cupcake look like it has that round look like a baseball? Also, how do I pipe the buttercream on, and make it have that smooth look? Thanks for any help.
I would use the large size round tip and do a single squeeze with the tip in the center and bag straight up. Don't pull up until you release pressure. After the buttercream crusts, do the Viva paper towel method to smooth the tops. Then use add the stitching with a fine tip. Alternately, you can make thin fondant disks to press onto the buttercream top, decorate the disks as the ball.
