Does anyone have a good banana filling recipe, with fresh slices of bananas. Also, can I just use a vanilla custard and mix in fresh slices of bananas ? Do i have to do anything to prevent the bananas from turning brown?
You can use some lemon juice, but they will still turn brown. Just like in banana pudding, it's great the first day, but every day after, the banana taste gets stronger (not in a good way) and they get brown starting in the middle. Even baked bananas get old quickly with the taste.
There are a few creative things you can do with a banana filling to make them last longer. I'll share on a pm.
