This is my first attempt at making a beer bucket cake with sugar ice cubes and bottles. I created my beer bottle mold and bought ice trays. I heated 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of corn sryup last night and poured them in the ice tray and the beer bottle mold. Once I had the beer bottle covered enough I let it sit on top of a cup like forums said to. Although, this morning when I when to pop the sugar out, it was not hard. It was sticky and won't come out. Any ideas of what to do from here. I'm thinking I did not heat the sugar long enough. can I put my latex mold in hot boiling water and my ice tray? Some one please help!!
