I am curious to know if anyone can tell me what impression mat or roller was used to make the square impressions on these darling cupcakes? It is smaller than I have seen before.

Looks to me like a straight edge (ruler). Then just use a pointy tool to make the diagonal marks in the corners.

It's so perfect, though. You think so?

Your measurements will have to be spot on, but it can be done.

lol - - I've never seen anything with squares that small, although there may be one. That's the way I would do it - - sorry! icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi! Check out the website for global sugar art. Go to patchwork cutters side designs & embossers, page 2, item number #17335 Quilting embosser by patchwork cutters for $8.79.

It is not very big, but it works great! It is like a small black plastic grill.
I have one and I use it just like that on my wedding cupcakes!

For that design I use this:

Its a small impression mat but good enough for cupcakes.

Just an FYI in case anyone is interested, but the two blue cupcakes in the far right column are made using a paper crafting embossing folder - I know because I have it and use it to make cards all the time, LOL! Never thought of using it for fondant, but it looks so pretty! Might have to get another one to dedicate for food use...

It is the one with tiny birds/swirls/leaves, gold on blue. The brand is cuttlebug/provocraft. Hope this helps! Those cupcakes are just gorgeous!

Thanks so much!
Also, I was finally able to find the creator of the cupcakes, and confirmed that the pattern I was inquiring about was indeed, a patchwork cutter! Thanks for all your input, and suggestions. You guys rock!
