When doing a single tier cake, do you....
1) put it on the decorative board and frost/decorate it
2) put it on a cake circle the same size as the cake, ice it then transfer to a decorative board
3) something else?
I have always frosted on the decorative board but now I'm thinking I may ice on a smaller board first because I like the idea of using it as a guide for how much icing to put on.
