Hi! I'm going to get the local bakery to print an edible image for me (of the top of an iPod). I don't work with edible images very often and I was wondering about a few things:
1. How should you store them and how long do they last?
2. Can you cut them?
3. Should you put them on a white background or doesn't it matter?
4. Do they come with a backing? Best way to apply?
Thanks so much for the help! icon_smile.gif

It depends on the brand of edible image.I stored mine in a large ziploc bagged sealed really well.If it gets open air too long it will dry and crack. They will store for a few weeks...Yes..you can cut them. The transparent ones usually meld into the icing color but I found black icing bad for the translucent background as it never did meld in and you could see the edges...I also cut around the image sometimes. They come on a plastic type sheet and you just peel them off after printing.. Don't loosen them before printing as they will come off and get jammed in the printer...HTH
