Okay so I am new to all of this so I apologize for my questions ahead of time. i have tried to research but not really getting consistent answers, so here it goes,,,

Im planning to do a pregnant belly cake for a baby shower, but i keep reading it only serves about 12 people. The guest list is at 70 people, so I was thinking of adding a half sheet double layer buttercream cake. Now, I have never done a two tier cake before so Im afraid to place the belly cake on top of the half sheet cake for fear it will sink. are there any tricks to it not sinking or should I just do two cakes seperately?

also, ive never done a half sheet cake before and dont know how many servings and what to price it at. any suggestions? i tried looking on the wilton site but it only gives square dimensions and doesnt say anything about the half sheet cake (or maybe I just didnt see it).

Thanks so much for anyone that answers icon_smile.gif

Hey, I'm pretty new too so I don't know if this will help but since I am also expecting,I've been thinking about the belly cake as well. To add more servings,I thought of making a rectangular layered cake underneath and the placing the belly cake on top. You can use dowels where placing the boobs and belly so that it doesn't sink in. I'm not sure about serving sizes but u can go to Wilton website and see them there so u can calculate between the belly cake and sheet cake i think it's called??

Hope I helped

It is 54 - 2" x 2" x 2" servings.
