I need to find a source for red luster 4mm or smaller pearls that have a metalic look or luster sheen. I have found every color but red!! If all else fails, I will opt to make them myself, but I am not certain how to get that high quality luster or metalic look in red. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Chef Rubber has a new line of Candy Pearls that include a Red.
However, the black ones I have appear to be 6mm.....
And, the red may not be as Luster as you like.

I would airbrush an alcohol based luster on the pearls for a stronger luster effect if needed....

And if you want them to be shinier, put luster dust in a zippered bag, put the pearls in and shake. I have done this with little tiny flowers too. Then sift maybe with one of those tiny sifter spoons.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I believe that one or a combo of the suggestions will work.

Lisa, when you mention alcohol based luster dust. Are you talking about dissolving luster power in something like vodka?
