Hi ladies i want to try and make my first CupCake Cake i saw a great video on youtube about how to ice them but does anyone else have suggestions on how to go about coloring them? Does anyone have experiecne with Wilton Color Spray? I'd like to try a Princess Tiana cake. with maybe a small pond or lake and some greenery for the grass things like that.

I've used the Wilton sprays for large areas, but not for detailed work. I actually like using them for certain things, but I think tinting the icing of fondant in the individual colors works better for smaller areas. The spray isn't nearly as directed as it is with an airbrush, so the likelihood of overspraying is pretty good. Also, the Wilton colors are limited in the sense that you can only get one shade of each color, and if it's not the one you want, you're kind of out of luck.

I would pre color the icing before you ice your cupcake cake, unless you've worked with an air brush before. If you do get the wrong color it will be pretty hard to scrape off and make quite a mess! If you color you icing beforehand you'll have much more control over what gets colored and what doesn't icon_smile.gif

"I think the cake you had made is simple and good to see it.
Really it is nice.Making the cake by using many cupcakes is different. "
