I need some advice on my buttercream. I am using sharon Zambito's recipe. as I am working on the cake tryin g to smooth the buttercream I will get a crease or a wrinkle in it. I can't get that mark out for anything. I hav e tried the hot spatula and that actually moves the buttercream and I have tried the viva method and a fondant smoother. Any suggestions? Why does this happen? am I taking too long to smooth it?
Get a 6 inch stainless steel putty knife and a 6 inch foam paint roller. Don't wet the icing, knife or roller. Good luck.
