Sorry I am mid-cake and I don't have time to search for the recipe.
Everyone is always talking about a recipe that is close the the wilton class buttercream but uses half butter.
If someone could help me out I would appreciate it. I'm ready to make the frosting and thought I would give it a go.

keep the recipe the same as the wilton just do 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup crisco instead

Hope this is in time - make sure you add the water as needed. Depending on the water/butterfat content of the butter you're using, you may not need all of it. I'd hate for you to end up with soup!

I am glad you added that alimonkey!!

I didn't even think about that - even though it just happened to me. I made it for the first time and I had to add A LOT more 10x sugar !
