after many attempts at making cupcakes from scratch i feel that they do not taste all that good, they don't rise well and shrink after cooling!!
i always have to revert back to cake mixes because they stand up to the challenge..
Are there any good, dense, moist cake recipes, that can also be used for cupcakes out there??

You need to start with one flavor and get that method right, then build from there.
What flavor would help you the most?
