HI,
this is my first time working with a cake stencil, im trying to do a damask print for a friends baby shower and any help or tips will be highly appreciated! im debating on round or square? i have round pans but if it makes a ton of diffrence ill go buy the square.. someone once told me icing a square is more complicated? so i guess i just need to out weigh which would be easiest, icing or stenciling!?
my next debate is to use fondant, royal icing, buttercream! id love any tips! im so excited and nervous to try this cake all at once lol

Hi Alisha... I'm not an expert... Hope I an help, you can stencil on a cold/frozen butter cream cake. You have to make sure your butter cream is smooth.... I use IMBC, Italian meringue butter cream... It goes on smooth and is easy to work with, and it is not to sweet. It is easy to stencil with.. I made a small 6" cake stencil led on just the front, first time was easy, can't wait to try again... Therese icon_biggrin.gif
