Buttercream and fondant are not favs in my family. Generally I make IMBC/SMBC or ganache. I have been told by the bakery where I have the image made that the image will not work well on meringue icing because it has too much butter/greasy. Cake needs to be a light color so brown chocolate ganache is out and not crazy about white chocolate ganache or candy melt ganache. I may end up having to put the image on some sort of plaque on top of the cake. Just thought I would see what those of you who have used edible images had to say about types of icing it works on. We do like the Pastry Pride topping on cakes too and whipped cream. Your thoughts please... thank you! icon_smile.gif

I should add that it will be a cherry blossom cake with branches and blossoms made out of fondant/gumpaste. Going up sides and over tops partially.
