Hey!

I've been experimenting with different recipes lately and I tried this frosting. I used a butter/shortening combination. The original recipe states that using all shortening, its good for 3 months and to not refrigerate it. Clearly it won't be good for 3 months with butter, but I'm wondering if the refrigeration stipulation still applies. Does anyone have any experience doing this with this recipe or have any ideas? TIA!

I have had no issues refrigerating this icing. All you need to do is store it in an airtight container and let it come to room temperature before you whip it again.

Thank you for the response! I went ahead and refrigerated it, but I would have ruined in not letting it come to rom temp. Thanks again!
