We are currently looking for experienced bakers, bakery owners, pastry chefs, sugar artists, local media & celebrities etc. to judge and/or to hold classes and demonstrations during this competition.
Some classes we are looking to showcase are, but not limited to, the following: Modeling chocolate flowers
Fundamentals of fondant
Lettering on cakes
Specialty cake (how to make a tea cup cake, beach cake, etc.)
Special effects design
Managing your business
Baking/Sugar/Candy related vendors needed. Spaces will be $50 per 8 ft space for full day, $30 for half day, you bring your own set up. Limited electricity may be available for vendors.
Bakers of all experience levels may enter this competition, youth sweetie (10-15) young sweeties (16-20) several amateur levels, professional, student & master divisions.
There will be 5 categories to enter your premade cakes in, including tasting and a live challenge as well.
Cupcake (includes display for 36 cupcakes)
THEME TO BE ANNOUNCED
Fees are not yet available. All work needs to be documented (photographs and details) and 100% of exterior decorations need to be edible.
All participants will be invited to take place in the final, live, on site challenge. On site challenge theme will be made available to all participants one month prior to the event.
Trophies and cash prizes awarded.
There are no ovens available at the venue. Cake prep needs to take place off site and transported to venue.
Competition rules and regulations will be available after 3/1/2012. Applications and fee information will be available at that time as well. Deadline for application is September 1, 2012
