Hi everyone. I am new at making cake pops and am excited about finding this site. I made the red velvet and chocolate cakes and mixed it with icing on Friday night and rolled them Saturday. Today when I started packaging them, I noticed that the sticks looked like they had grease stains from the bottom of the cake pop. I did the usual - mix the cake with cream cheese icing, form the balls and froze them when I put them on the sticks for 15 minutes. The only difference was that I froze the "dough" overnight since it was so late on Friday. Any suggestions as to what went wrong? Sorry if this question has been posted. Thanks! javascript:emoticon('icon_cry.gif')

Dip the top of your sticks in chocolate where the cake pop will sit and let it harden before you put the cake pop on it. The chocolate will be the barrier to keep the stick from absorbing the grease. icon_smile.gif
