I've played a little with the Wilton fondant molds and so far I really like them. I'm inspired to "amp them up" a little after seeing this cake by Dsmo

I thought it would be fun for everyone to show off their cakes/cupcakes they've done with these molds to see new ways to use them.
Mine so far are pretty straight forward. The attachments are being goofy if I attach more than one so a couple are links
Buttons and Bows mold

I used the mold you did in the picture above...don't know the name of it...I call it the Baroque mold because of the look of it. I also used a strip from the Buttons and Bows mold for the base of the 'birdcage'.

Wow, that bird cage is awesome. I love how you used the hearts and accents in the gold. Looking at that cake, I never would have "seen" the mold in the cake! Thanks for sharing.
I used the rose mold on this one: http://cakecentral.com/gallery/2057453/ivy-dogwood-and-roses
wow, I love all the ideas!! I used Nature Fondant and Gum Paste Mold http://cakecentral.com/gallery/2067798/ballerina-cake
I used the orange Wilton mold around the castle tiers http://cakecentral.com/gallery/2266760/princess-castle-cake . I love how inexpensive they are when you use a -50% coupon. I also used the same orange mold, different pattern on my heaven cake.
I've used Wilton molds for these cakes and am looking forward to coming up with more unique ideas

I've had this mold for 3 months and never used it - I just tried it this past weekend for a quick border- and LOVED it- I want to make something else with it- the fondant went in easily and came out perfectly! How easy! And these are some beautiful ideas to go with!
Thanks!

That's how I was. I bought my first one as kind of an expirement. I was so shocked how well it worked, I bought the rest. Now when I have left over small pieces of fondant, I make extra stuff, bows, buttons, flowers, birds and just toss them in a box for cupcake toppers.

OMG - What a fabulous idea! Alright- you convinced me to get the other ones now
I used the border mold that also has the roses and baroque type molds on it...I think. Once I got the hang of it, it was very quick and easy. I usually roll my own fondant balls for this type of border but I dreaded the thought of doing three tiers and knew I needed to spend my time on other details. I almost ordered the pearl border mold online for over $25 but then I saw the wilton mold at my local hobby store. So glad I did! I want to buy the buttons mold next. So although it doesn't appear there's much on this cake from the wilton mold, the border mold alone saved me hours of precious time!
Forgot about this one. Used the bead border from the romance mold.

I used the button mold to do a baby shower cake for the State fair. I got 2nd place.
