Hi There, I wonder if anyone can give me any tips on how to make the hair stronger. I have pushed the gumpaste through a garlic crusher and put it on the figurine's head, it looked good until it dried then broke off from various places/lengths.( Figurine is Alice from Alice in Wonderland) icon_sad.gif

Hi,

Im not sure that you can make it stronger bc doing that will make the gumpaste dry even harder and break of as well.

I suggest that maybe you use another medium for the hair, like, Modeling chocolate or fondant mixed with a lil bit of modeling chocolate (makes it more flexible) or just fondant with shortening added to it. It will take all of these some time to dry but might work a lil better than the gumpaste.

Modeling chocolate is what I used for my figure. You can see the pic in my photos. It still was delicate but didn't crack as easily.
