Hi There, I wonder if anyone can give me any tips on how to make the hair stronger. I have pushed the gumpaste through a garlic crusher and put it on the figurine's head, it looked good until it dried then broke off from various places/lengths.( Figurine is Alice from Alice in Wonderland)

Im not sure that you can make it stronger bc doing that will make the gumpaste dry even harder and break of as well.

I suggest that maybe you use another medium for the hair, like, Modeling chocolate or fondant mixed with a lil bit of modeling chocolate (makes it more flexible) or just fondant with shortening added to it. It will take all of these some time to dry but might work a lil better than the gumpaste.

Modeling chocolate is what I used for my figure. You can see the pic in my photos. It still was delicate but didn't crack as easily.
