I am thinking of actually moving forward with selling my cakes. However, making MMF is SO MUCH WORK. It's messy. It's sometimes just hard to get right. Maybe it's me, I don't know, but at least 75% of the people who've had my cakes still habitually take the fondant off anyway so I'm almost inclined to wonder if putting a "better tasting fondant" is necessary. Most people still think MMF is too sweet to eat.

How is Satin Ice? In your honest opinion, is it worth it to buy? Easy to use? Or will I just be sorry?

Any and all opinions welcome!!

We use Satin Ice fondant, it doesn't taste great but as you said most people peel it off anyway.

If you are using the fondant taste as a differentiator for your business (and you can charge enough of a premium) there are some premium fondant options that taste better, Fondarific is one example.

Thank you! one of the issues I have with mmf is that it is sticky.

Does the satin ice take color well?

We use Satin Ice in the shop. I think it does the job really well. there are other fondants out there, but they are quite pricey. Satin Ice takes color pretty good. I recommend buying their colored fondant and them adding the white fondant to get to your desired color. I always buy brown, black, & red if no other colors.

We use Satin Ice and I love the taste and workability. It does take color well and I also buy all of their bright colors (red, black, blue, pink, red, green, yellow, and orange).
