I was wondering, what do you think about a cupcake vending truck??
I'm considering the idea. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

I have a dessert truck.

First, look at all your local ordinances and health department rules. If you think getting a kitchen approved is hard, you haven't even begun to experience what it's like to get a truck approved.

If you're only gong to vend from the truck, then you'll need both an approved kitchen and an approved truck. (2 sets of rules)

Finally, don't expect to earn any money. People may still be eating out, but many don't get sweets. I'm working festivals mostly this year and that's much more lucrative than street parking. If you have a lot of festivals you can probably make a go of it. Probably. Don't put a lot of money in the truck.

Leah's post is the kind of straight-talk business advice that can help folks learn without doing it the hard way. Thanks, Leah.

Thank you for your comments ladies.

Maybe I'll try a couple of festivals first.
