Can't Connect My Printer To Macbook Pro

Has anyone had success connecting thier Canon Pixma to a Macbook pro...took me 10 min to connect to my Toshiba lap top and after 2 days, I can not get it to be detected by my MBP....

I found this if you want to try it:
The Apple system software already supports the printer with version 10.26.1.0 of the Canon drivers.
You didn't need to D/L any drivers.

Reset your printing system:

Goto system preferences> print&fax control panel.
Hold down the Control key as you click in the list at the left, and choose Reset printing system from the menu that appears.

Add the printers you use.
