I have seen a wedding cake that i want to make, it is 3 tiers bottom tier has a slice missing and the slice makes up the top tier it has been iced in and around the slices to look like the centre of a cake so with jam and buttercream. Has anyone ever seen anything like this or a tutorial on how its done?
any help greatly appreciated

There are a lot of cakes like that on this site (although I've never seen a wedding cake - that would be fun!). Here are some links:

The decorator of the first cake explains a little in the description how she made her cake.

I made this kind of cake twice, but never as a wedding cake. You'd just have to make sure that the missing piece didn't compromise the structure and stability -- you wouldn't want the top 2 tiers to cave into the bottom one!
