Hello All,

As a NEW newbie, needless to say my supplies are very limited. I have looked online numerous times for some inexpensive impression mats with no luck and plenty of frustration. So the search was on to look for something more affordable at Hobby Lobby. No success there either until I was looking for something entirely different.

I stumbled on some texture plates for the Fiskar's Embossing System. There are 6 plates with textures on both sides (hearts, stones, lines, waves, dots, stars, leaves, wood grain, brick, bubbles. squares but can also be used for diamonds, and fabric) for a total of 12 textures.

The cost was $14.99 but with the 40% off coupon (printed off of HL website) the total was $8.99 before taxes. Talk about a huge savings.

I just purchased them and have not had a chance to use them yet but see no reason why they wouldn't work. Here is the link if you want to check them out. Hope this helps.

This became my philosophy after an accident that left me with a busted leg but didn't take my life.

You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something -- your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach will not let me down, and it will make all the difference in my life.
