I know this is a stupid question but can you use swiss meringue buttercream under fondant? I have never used swiss meringue but I would like to try it out and possibly start using it instead of my traditional American buttercream just not sure if it holds up as well?
Great! I made a quick seven min frosting and it was divine so I'm excited to try the buttercream. I hate covering cakes with fondant but I'm using isomalt and I am afraid the moisture in the icing will affect my flowers.
Any good Swiss meringue recipes I can try?
