I would like to do a Japanese theme cake for my DD's b'day. Would like a cherry blossom tree style with maybe an edible image of her fav anime character. Could I make the blossoms, tree, branches out of candy clay? Should I get blossom plunger set or cutters? Thanks icon_lol.gif

I used this tutorial to make cherry blossoms for this cake I did. It took a little time but it was very easy to do and they turned out pretty. I didn't put any stamins in mine. I used a mixture of fondant/tylose and painted them with pearl dust.

Here's the cake I did

I've never done edible images so I'm sorry I can't help you there. Hope this helps you icon_smile.gif

I've done a wedding one before. I bought a cutter and veiner set from Jennifer Dontz.... it was WELL worth the $! It's by far one of my favorite and easy to use.

I made my blossoms out of gumpaste and then dusted with pink.green and a little pearl for shimmer.
I think the cake I did is in my photos.... if not, it's on my website.
