I'm doing a cake to coordinate with this dress for a little girl's birthday party. I can't decide what color the fondant base should be. I will be covering the base in colorful fondant/gumpaste flowers.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

The purple really sticks out to me. Especially the top-right flower. That would be my choice. icon_smile.gif

I suggest purple too. It's one of the more "girly" colors from the dress. Also, the first color I noticed!

I would go with the light sage green so that all of your fondant pieces 'pop'...if you do purple it will dominate the entire cake...

I would suggest green since purple would stand out and over power the rest of the colors.

I also like the green and think it will make the flowers pop. Looks like it's going to be a really cute cake.

Odd one out... I vote white to make all the colors pop, even green and purple icon_biggrin.gif

I would also go with white, maybe with green ribbon around the cake if the design allows.

My first thought was green when I looked at it. It's a bit more neutral, allowing the other girlie colors to stand out well.

Another odd one out, my first thought was black and then using all the other colors on top. Then I thought white...
