Make Cake Denser To Hold Better In Tiers?

I'm wondering if party of my problem with sinking tiers is maybe the cake isn't dense enough? If you think this may be it, what do you recommend? I use boxes and sometimes doctor them, sometimes not. I have a chocolate cake coming up, use DH devils food mix, any recommendations on doctoring?

If the tiers are sinking it's because your support system isn't working well. What are you using for supports inside the cake? You can stack anything if you have the right support system.
