Help! Someone has asked me to do a 3D cake of their sister for her 30th birthday in a 'Bratz' style - where do I start?? Should I make the whole thing out of cake or maybe the head out of polystyrene or rice krispies so that its not too heavy? And how to do the arms and legs??? Any advice would be gratefully received!! Thanks

Since the head is oversized for the body on a Bratz doll, I would def. use the Rice Krispies. Also the arms and probably legs too should be RKT to make them easier to stabalize/attach. If it were me, I would do the whole doll in RKT and stand her on a nicely designed cake.

Thats a really good idea to do the whole thing in RKT, thanks....would you make a frame or something to attach the RKT parts together?? I've never used RKT before to sculpt anything!

You can use toothpicks to stick RKT limbs on, or skewers if you want her to stand up. If youre worried about her falling, maybe sculpt her sitting on the edge of the cake. HTH
