I love this cake and would like to make something similar for my daughters birthday. I'm not sure how to post pictures so I will add an attachment. Any ideas on how to get the ice cream to look so much like ice cream?

Im not an expert but heres how I would tackle it...

For the poured part, its just straight warm ganache poured over the top and allowed to ooze over the top of the cake (start small and pour more ganache till it runs as far down as you want using a light hand with a spatula to coax it over the edge of the cake if you need to), let it chill to set. Then for the ice cream itself, take your remaining ganache, let it cool completely at room temp then whip it until fluffy and scoop it out (kind of sloppily, dont try to make a neat ball) with an ice cream scooper, add your cone and chill again so it will firm up. Maybe add a little luster dust to give it some sheen in a few places and of course, sprinkles! HTH, the cake is darling, would love to know how it turns out!
