Ok, I am making a New Year's cake this weekend and tying in the announcement of their pregnancy AND it's their anniversary.

I am going to make a fondant clock to go on top of the cake and instead of the 12, 3, 6 and 9 there will be their significant dates. . ie: baby's due date, their wedding date, first date etc. . .

I want this to be vintage/elegant looking....not cartooney. Does anyone have any ideas on how to write the dates so they look good on the clock? Do I abbreviate, for example. . 12/28/11 in each spot or do I write the word out?? And then any thoughts on the over all "look" of the clock??

Would really love ideas. Excited to do this cake!

Thanks!!
