Was wondering if any1 had any tips on covering quite a deep/tall cake in fondant/sugarpaste? I'm fne when it comes to covering a standard depth but struggle a little when covering a taller cake, i tend to end up with a lot of excess.

thanks in advance, and merry xmas!!!

Try elevating your cake up on a bowl smaller than the cake board and cutting away the excess fondant with scissors. An elevated cake makes the fondant put down more and away from the cake base. Then just remove it from the bowl and cut close to the cake with a pizza cutter. Save any excess in a ziploc bag that 's been greased inside then squeeze all the air out of it.
