I was wondering if anyone has some good tips to layer fondant. I am doing a Lightning Mcqueen rice crispies car and want to put fondant windows, mouth etc. on, before I put on the red fondant. How do I cut off the red fondant to reveal the smile and windshield with out cutting into the bottom layer of fondant. And won't the two layers of fondant stick together and make it hard to peel the red fondant off of the underneath fondant?
Thanks in advance for your advice. :~)

I have layered it before, I just put the one I wanted on first, such as your windows, etc. dusted that area good with cornstarch then layered top layer of fondant and cut it with exacto knife, it shouldnt stick unless you put adhesive or water on it. HTH~
