Has anyone used poured fondant rather than rolled to cover Christmas ornaments?

The once or twice I used poured the results were horrible Thus, I have never given a 2nd thought to using it unless the item was *very* small.

I've never used poured fondant for them. I use rolled buttercream and I really like the results.
