They are extremely bad at returning emails/getting ahold of ( on the phone for a while just to talk to someone etc). They also do not regularily update their facebook as to what is happening, only post work people have done or "new" colors out. Until they get their act together, I would not order from them again.

I did, however have dealings with the president of the company, Amy Adams in the past:

When I dealt with her she was still making wedding cakes, not sure if she still does so, but her website is up:

When we started consulting with her about possibly making our daughter's wedding cake, we discovered that she had a few other business ventures she was involved in. She seems to have started and abandoned several businesses before this, with the same leadership crew as Get Sassie now has. She was also involved in some sort of consulting firm called Analytika. http://analytikainc.com/about/ and another one called Cape Cod Branding http://capecodbranding.com/about/

When I dealt with her it seemed like her attention was divided between the various companies. We had similar problems with communication. Emails weren't replied to in a timely manner etc. Ultimately, I went with another cake maker.

Obviously that doesn't speak to the quality of the product, but I can't say I'm surprised to hear the issues folks are having, having dealt with some of the people there before.

Anyway, best of luck to all, it does look like a cool product.

OK, so I posted earlier the issues I (Cake Mischief) had with getting this product through Get Sassie and how we had to refund everybody after cancelling our order. I was able to get the Sassie Gun through my main (reliable) supplier, and ordered 12 in. I was excited to get it and opened one up to try myself. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The gun has three heat settings: standby (no heat), low heat, and high heat. The button that changes this setting is at the worst place possible (where a right handed person puts their thumb while pressing the trigger). The gun is designed to go into standby after there has been no use for a period of time. While I was using it I found it was going into standby very quickly, causing the heat to go off, which as a result doesn't keep the isomalt at the high temp that is required for filling molds. A couple of times it even went into standby while I was pressing the trigger. I also found that if there was even a tiny flaw in the isomalt stick it would not advance properly, and at times was cracking and splintering while I was trying to work it. I asked my mother in law to try it out (maybe I just got a lemon), and she experienced the same thing I had, and she also had hot isomalt come out the wrong end.

We originally ordered 12, and after opening two of them, made the decision to return the remainder to our supplier. While I think it's a great product in concept, the guns that I received are just not up to snuff in my opinion, and due to the previous issues, I do believe that at least this first production run is faulty.

I ordered the Get Sassie in April, waited months for it to arrive. When it did, it didn't work. It has 3 heat settings but while waiting for it to stop flashing indicating that it is ready to use, it goes back to safety with no heat. The gun never released any hot isomalt. It melted the stick and would not work. The sad part is Get Sassie will not respond to any of my calls or emails. They having my return request as pending status. I would not recommend purchasing for Get Sassie. They have very bad customer service. My friend who also ordered this gun has the exact same problem and they are treating her the same way.
