I have to do a cake in two weeks and I'm not really sure how to go about doing it. The girl wants a zebra stripped tye dye cake. I plan on making the zebra stipes tye dye, but I can't figure out what would be the best technique. I thought making the fondant tye dye and then cut out the stripes, but I'm afraid I will over mix it. If anyone has any good ideas please let me know. I would really appreciate it. TIA!!

Not knowing how big this cake will be, therefor not knowing how much fondant you need, my suggestion would be to take small balls of each color; roll each into a snake and place them together, twist once or twice (like a braid), pull just a little to lengthen then fold the ends to the center and twist again then roll out. The *less* you mix and/or roll the better.
