I will be making a 3 tier Waldorf Red cake for a 50th Ann. I've never used a buttercream with cream cheese flavoring in it so I don't know how it tastes, or even what brand to use. I've made a cc frosting from the recipe section which turned out great. I would like to do the pedal effect on this cake. Which way should I go? cc frosting or buttercream with the flavoring? Any suggestings. The cc recipe is the crusting cc by edencakes.
I've used lorann's cream cheese flavor in my all butter BC before and believe me while it tasted great, it did not taste like the real cream cheese frosting at all.
I would say go for the real thing. I can eat CC frosting by the spoon since it's just mildly sweey oh so yummy :p
