I have two 2" frozen cake layers that have been filled w/ buttercream and then I wrapped the entire thing in plastic wrap. How long should I let the cake defrost before I crumb coat and cover in fondant? I want to avoid any air bubbles that form from covering a frozen cake too soon. Thanks in advance!¢¾

You probably have already figured out the answer to this ?.
It will depend on the size of the tier.
An 8" will take far less time then 14 or 16"er.
I would give it at least an hour and can take up to 3 or 4 hours.

Thanks for the reply. =) I ended up waiting about 3 hours and crumb coated it and then covered in fondant. Looks like it's going to just fine. Thanks again
