Should I Try Convection?

Hi,

My LG oven is being replaced next week. In the meantime, I have a 3-tiered cake for tomorrow. It takes 90 mins to bake an 8" round cake at 325 degrees which I know is ridiculously long.

Should I try baking with the convection feature? Do you think that would speed things up?

I'm having a bad baking day.
