Hi All

I am new to this so learning - but have big ideas !!

I need to make a Barbie doll cake for my boyfriend on the weekend. So a dome cake skirt with a barbie doll inserted into the middle of the cake.

I want to make a layered vanilla and chocolate cake - can i use normal tins and stack them, then use a knife to shape it into a big skirt ?

Help and ideas much needed
Thanks !!

Yes you sure can icon_smile.gif

However having done this kind on cake a few times - with the 1st time doing it the way you described above - I find it easier baking the top part of the skirt in a rounded bottom pan.

However baking time with this kind of pan is longer.

P/s - didn't know boys too, like to play with Barbies? *wink* ;p
