I have a client who wants a Wintery Rustic Themed wedding cake and I am trying to figure out how to go about making pine cones! Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions as how to make 'snow'! Thanks in advance!

I watched a video on ustream sat. with a person making these same pine cones. She used marzipan for the cone it self. Both tutorials look really tasty to me. Got to try these. Jennifer Dontz has the molds for these now. Check her site .

Jennifer Dontz of Sugar Delites has a new mold available. It looks like a lot of fun and I hope to get one soon.
I know she wouldn't want to "toot her own horn" here, but she has a lot of good material on her site and is a very talented cake artist.

You can't type the words "sugar" and "craft" together... if this works.

I agree with the posts above...A cake to remember has a pine cone tutorial on youtube. If you just type in "make chocolate pine cones" you can pull it up. Doesn't look hard to do at all... HTH.

For snow you could use shredded coconut
