Wedding Cake Torte? Or Not To Torte?

Sorry if this is answered some where else but I couldn't find it.

On Wedding cakes do you always torte the cakes? Or is it a matter of preference?

A shortening Butter Cream will be used. Was asked for a white cake and chocolate cake with butter cream.

A matter of preference.

Of course, if you torte that's more labor and you need more frosting or filling - so charge appropriately.

I always torte. It just makes the cake look nicer - especially for weddings. And if you have an Agbay, perfect torting and leveling is a breeze.
