I've been baking using the wilton DF pans but for some reason when I bake my cakes it looks tilts to slightly to the side and I have to turn the cake a certain way so it doesn't look bad,and this happens everytime. I always measure my batter evenly but of course sometimes one layer looks bigger than the other slightly. Do you

Why does this happen? Is the pan defective? Do you guys put your bigger layer on top or the bottom is that the issue? Sorry for all the questions

My guess is your oven may not be level.

Do you have hot spots in your oven? You could have one side of the cake baking faster and the other slower, so the baked cake looks crooked and the final product has a dense side.

......just another thought. I also agree that you should check the INSIDE of the oven with a leveler. I made my husband nuts when we got the new oven. icon_smile.gif
