I'm want to make a yankee cap cake and I'm having problems making Navy Blue fondant. I tried mixing a little bit of Black with about a pound of Blue but I ended up with a dark bluish grey. Can anyone help me. I've tried adding more blue but that isn't doing anything and I don't know what else to do, I'm a little afraid to add more black. icon_cry.gif

Hi what brand of colors are you using? I use Americolor. They seem to work the best for me and they have a royal blue. I hope this helps.

Are talking about colored fondant or food colorings. I used American Blue Elite Fondant by Fondex and black fondant from Duff. I have started trying to add Wilton's blue candy color to the fondant that is grey. It has gotten darker but I'm not sure I'll ever get a true nave blue. icon_cry.gif
