Nfsc Butter Question

When making these cookies, is it best for the butter to be cold, or room temp? Thanks.

Which cookies? There is no photo or additional info here. That being said, I've really have to rack my brain to identify a cookie recipe that would not have the butter at room temperature.

I'm guessing that should read "NFSC". I'm also going to guess that the winning answer would be room temp.
